The North Carolina Coastal Federation, Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary Partnership (APNEP) and the North Carolina Watershed Stewardship Network are hosting a free one-day, watershed planning workshop, scheduled for Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Jockey’s Ridge State Park Visitor Center Auditorium in Nags Head.

Join state and local water quality professionals, planners and managers for this training on coastal watershed restoration planning. Workshop participants will learn how to protect and restore coastal water quality with cost-effective watershed management strategies.

In addition, interactive presentations will feature tools and strategies for setting quantifiable goals for reducing the volume of polluted stormwater runoff, explain how to strategically select the most effective best management practices to achieve water quality goals and engage coastal communities in this effort.

Five professional development hours are being offered.
