The SC State Climatology Office, in collaboration with the Carolinas Integrated Sciences & Assessments (CISA) and SC Water Resources Center, is conducting a series of three one-day educational workshops in Greenville, Columbia, and Charleston, SC. The workshops are titled, “Weathering the Storm: Impacts of Extremes on South Carolina’s Natural and Built Environment” and will provide information relevant to stakeholders in each of these regions about responses to recent extreme events.

The first workshop will take place in Greenville, SC on December 12, 2017Registration is open for the Greenville workshop until December 8th. The event is free but registration is required and lunch will be provided to participants.

Speakers in Greenville will include representatives from the SC State Climate Office, SC Flood Mitigation ProgramSC Dam Safety ProgramSC Forestry Commission, and a SC Department of Natural Resources Hydrologist.

The workshops in Columbia (February 2018) and Charleston (March 2018) are still being finalized.
