Description: A series of projects designed to: 1) Downscale climate models, 2) Predict future land cover based on climate change, urbanization, and sea level rise, 3) Predict the response to that future land cover change in aquatic and terrestrial species, and 4) Develop tools to make optimal conservation decisions in the face of predicted future conditions throughout the Southeast US.
1) Downscaled spatially-explicit predictions of future temperature and precipitation through the Southeast (Expected delivery: Early 2011)
2) Spatially-explicit predictions of land cover change in the Southeast through 2100 accounting for climate change, urbanization, and sea level rise (Expected delivery: 2012)
3) Tools for making optimal conservation decisions in the face of future landscape change (Expected delivery: 2012)
