I am pleased to introduce Laurie Rounds as the Gulf Coast Landscape Conservation Liaison.  The position was established with funding from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Laurie will coordinate between the Gulf Coastal Plains and Ozarks Landscape Conservation Cooperative (LCC), Gulf Coast Prairie LCC, South Atlantic LCC, Peninsular Florida LCC and between the Southeast and South-central Climate Science Centers (CSCs) to enhance Gulf coast communication; identify and coordinate resources for regional priorities; and support integration of climate products and services for Gulf coast application. The position will also serve as a liaison with NOAA programs and resource management partners in the Gulf including the Gulf of Mexico Alliance, Coastal Management Programs and National Estuarine Research Reserves.  Please join me in welcoming Laurie to your SALCC staff.
