The Eastern Forest Environmental Threat Assessment Center of the US Forest Service and the South Atlantic LCC have initiated a monthly brown bag lunch for climate and landscape researchers in the Triangle area. Each month researchers gather face-to-face in an informal setting to share news, events and external opportunities. One feature is a monthly presentation during which a different researcher presents information on her/his work.
This is a new activity with only the second brown bag held in February. The next Brown Bag will be held on May 10th from 12:00 – 1:30pm. This month’s featured speakers will be Heather Dinon and Adrienne Wootten from the State Climate Office of North Carolina. Heather and Adrienne will present “Applied Climate Research: Turning Science into Services”. If you’d like more information, please contact Ginger Deason at 919-707-0291 or by email. Don’t forget to bring your lunch!
