Hi folks on the South Atlantic LCC. I was recently sent the current RFP y’all have out on this and thought it was very interesting. While I got it too late to seriously consider submitting anything this go round, I think this group may overlap with some of the interests we have in Marine Extension at UGA. We are doing quite a bit of sea level rise work with communities and have some faculty working with climate change impacts on aquatic organisms. Personally, my background is in water resources and management of non-point sources of pollution. I look forward to learning more about what y’all do and how we might be able to contribute.
Welcome aboard, Mark. The coastal and marine part of the South Atlantic are an important part of your cooperative. It may not be obvious yet but the South Atlantic LCC boundaries extend 200 miles out to the EEZ. It’s just the North/South boundaries that haven’t fully been worked out with neighboring LCCs.
