The year 2013 proved to be another exciting and productive period for your South Atlantic LCC, and summaries of last year’s accomplishments are now available in the “South Atlantic LCC 2013 Annual Report”.
While much of 2012 was focused on adopting natural resource indicators and supporting conservation science projects to fill information gaps, 2013 marked the actual initiation and development of the shared Conservation Blueprint for landscape conservation actions. The annual report includes a note from myself, a synthesis of the steps taken to guide Blueprint design, highlights of some of the science projects that are supportive in the development of the Blueprint, and a summary of some of the ways we’re working across jurisdictional boundaries and facilitating collaboration.
Such extraordinary work would not be possible without the help of our partners. You are the Cooperative, and we thank you and all who are dedicated to conserving a landscape capable of sustaining the nation’s natural and cultural resources for current and future generations.
Thank you all,
Chair, South Atlantic LCC Steering Committee
Regional Environmental Coordinator, US Army
