SARP is now accepting aquatic habitat restoration project ideas for FY 2016 funding through its Aquatic Habitat Restoration Program. This year, SARP, with funding from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service/National Fish Habitat Partnership (NFHP), will support projects in or associated with watersheds in the conservation focus areas throughout the SARP geography (see conservation focus areas map in the application package). NFHP funding provides an opportunity for individuals, organizations and institutions to participate in the ongoing process of conservation, management and restoration.
SARP is the largest Fish Habitat Partnership in the Southeast and works with local partners to address regional habitat objectives and national conservation priorities. Through these grant programs and collaboration with partners, SARP is integral to the identification and implementation of restoration projects throughout the region.
Submission process: Applicants are strongly urged to discuss project ideas and questions prior to submitting a project for consideration. Interested parties should please complete an application for consideration of funding. To discuss project ideas or for questions, please contact SARP Coordinator, Jessica Graham, at 850-769-0552, ext. 229.
