Time: 12 noon – 1 pm
Location: Port City Java on NCSU’s Centennial Campus (1000 Main Campus Dr, Raleigh, NC 27606)
We’re trying a new format for the Brown Bag this year: a casual 1-hour lunch without the emphasis on bringing in an outside speaker. We’re focusing on helping folks in the Triangle landscape conservation and climate change community connect with one another. Periodically, we’ll have an informal update from someone working on these issues locally, like the Southeast Regional Climate Hub, the South Atlantic LCC, the Southeast Climate Science Center, the NC State Climate Office…or you! If you’d like to update this group on your work, please let Hilary Morris with the South Atlantic LCC know, and we’ll set it up.
We’ll continue to meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month at noon, but at a new location—the conference room at Port City Java on NCSU’s Centennial Campus. If we outgrow that space or facilitate a talk likely to interest a broader audience, we can revisit or rotate the location. You can bring your own lunch, grab lunch from the food trucks outside the Venture building, or pick something up from Port City Java! If parking on Centennial is an issue, Sarah Wiener with the Hub can provide a limited number of free parking passes.
The Brown Bag email list is fairly outdated, so if you want to receive emails about the monthly Brown Bag, please fill out this short Google Form: http://goo.gl/forms/0XfVU1UVwF
As always, please feel free to reach out to your Brown Bag hosts with questions, comments, or suggestions!
